Serving

A server generally has 8 seconds to contact the ball once the referee has blown their whistle to signal the serve.

If a server steps on or over the end court line before they make contact with the ball, it is an error and a side out for the other team.

The server can serve from anywhere behind the end line, but must make contact for the serve between the sidelines, and behind the end line.
